RAID Incorporated Acquires Certain Assets of Excel Meridian Data, LLC

Methuen, MA — RAID Incorporated, a high-performance solutions provider specializing in optimizing total system performance by enhancing computational resources, interconnects and I/O subsystems, completed today the acquisition of certain assets of Excel Meridian Data, LLC ("EMD").

Founded in 1992, EMD has had a long tradition of designing, implementing and servicing quality storage solutions. EMD terminated operations in 2010.

“Due to the downturn in the economy in 2009, EMD had been struggling and elected to go out and liquidate. We at RAID welcome this opportunity to acquire and service EMD’s customer base. This type of transaction is not new to RAID as we have been very successful in the integration of other storage companies that fit our profile. In fact, this is our fourth such acquisition this decade.
