High Performance RAID Incorporated’s Falcon II series of SATA-2 storage systems were designed for high-performance server based applications and disk-to-disk backup. The Falcon II series is available in 16 and *24 bay single controller solutions which can be scaled to 18TB in SATA-2. Simple Network Integration The Falcon II was designed to support both DAS and SAN configurations and is interoperable with all standard SCSI host interfaces. Falcon interoperability ensures that all standard host cards and switches work seamlessly with the system. The Falcon II offers 2Gb internal bandwidth that features a 64-bit 266mhz databus from the CPU with Dual PCI-X buses for I/O transactions which allows the system to burst at up to 2132MB/sec. Secure Data Handling
The Falcon II’s intelligent drive handling feature retrieves data from damaged sectors, which handles low quality drives in both degraded mode and during the rebuild process. Falcon systems support hot-swap disk drives, hot- swap fans and hot-swap power modules for ease of component replacement without downtime.
